Position Title: Cook
- This is a part-time position with three weekly 10 hour shifts and alternating weekends
Overview: The Cook is responsible for coordination and smooth operation of Hospice Care Center kitchen, including ordering and food preparation, cooking, clean up and maintenance of kitchen and dining areas. This position ensures policies and procedures are followed in regard to Agency, OSHA and Health Department regulations. They also oversee and directly participate in providing quality meals meeting patient's dietary requirements and maintain clean kitchen and dining areas. The cook purchases food and supplies and completes inventory management. May require work in early mornings, late evenings and weekends as necessary. - High School or GED equivalent required. Food Manager Certification required.
- One (1) to Two (2) years of commercial food preparation experience desired.

Location: The Lake City Care Center, opened in January 2007 in Lake City. This 16-room facility serves patients and families from six counties in the Suwannee Valley area. The care center is located at 6037 W US Highway 90, Lake City. Lake City is surrounded by the Santa Fe, Suwannee and Ichetucknee rivers and numerous springs, the sheer beauty of the landscape inspires families to grow and thrive while the flourishing economic environment attracts a robust healthcare climate, plenty of shopping and top notch education systems from primary to post secondary, creating the ideal balance.
