Position: Hardware Technician

Location: VA312-Ashburn-44664 Guilford Dr, 20147

Duration: 06 Months Contract to Hire

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Rack & Stack IT equipment, Cabling, Trouble Shooting (take a circuit and locate issues, testing, and replacing), Copper cable terminations, Making sure there is end to end with activity. They will be checking all installed cabling. Copper is correct, tested, and get signal on devices. Be able to do physical work i.e. climbing up and down ladders.
• 2-5+ years as a Hardware Technician. Install, configure computer hardware systems.
• Make decisions around hardware configurations, computer images, systems specifications.
• Help customers resolve complex hardware-based issues. A+ PC Technician certification preferred.
• Candidate must have ability to multi-task with complex technical issues, and have customer-focused personality. Oversees the daily operations for a specified location including software, hardware, tape backups, phone administration, and the local area network.
• Provides level I & II end-user support for software and hardware issues.
• Oversees the daily operations of the local area network. Installs and upgrades Microsoft Windows operating systems including standard business applications and associated peripherals.
• Performs service administration tasks for software and hardware products to ensure manufacturer warranty. Troubleshoots any software and hardware problems through debugging, testing, and vendor assistance.
• Provides recommendations of program changes to correct software problems.
• Assists in the purchasing of new computer equipment and peripherals for a specified location.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $33.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

• Rack & Stack IT equipment: 3 years (Required)
• Copper Cabling, Trouble Shooting: 2 years (Required)
