Responsibilities
- Leads the breads production and operation to ensure the highest quality baked goods are produced. Be responsible for the overall safety, training and development of the culinary team and leading in a positive and inspiring manner
- Leads a team of bakers as they prepare a variety of recipes to spec each day, focusing on quality and consistency
- Creates and designs new products; Creates complex formulations using innovative production techniques; Role models technical skills required for baker/pastry culinary production
- Be responsible for the training of all new employees as well as the ongoing training of the existing staff
- Assist in the implement of cost control procedures and to manage these procedures and follow through with the staff
Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant experience in high-volume bakery store or fast-paced restaurant management in the food / beverage industry
- 3+ years of supervisory/managerial experience in a large-scale public or private institution directly engaged in food preparation, distribution and service with multiple locations
- Understanding of health and safety protocols in food and beverage industry
- Good communication skills and a great team player
- Experience to train, mentor and manage team members
- Culinary education background and food manager certification preferred
- California Food Handler Certificate.
- Eligibility to work in the US.
