The Inventory Manager is responsible for supporting Internal Legal Operations. This position will lead a team of 2-3 Process Specialists that monitor, investigate, and report inventory levels, with a focus on process exceptions. This role will perform root cause analysis, develop solutions to minimize future fallout, and work with Process Excellence Managers on work/process flow fixes. They will work globally, domestically, and cross functionally with teams to remediate workflow issues. They will also own creating/updating process documentation and training materials. The incumbent will be expected to develop regular reporting for senior leadership to highlight bottlenecks, backlogs, rework/rejections.

  • Manage a team of Process Specialists, creating workloads requiring analysis, providing direction on the desired output from their reviews.
  • Develop and prepare reporting on department inventory, tracking trends, summarizing issues, and providing updates on remediation efforts. Provide regular progress reports to senior leadership.
  • Work closely with department managers to strategize & prioritize investigations, form a plan to address findings, and determine resources required.
  • Lead task groups assigned to remediate inventory issues across teams and states.
  • Work cross functionally on inventory issues to ensure accounts in the IL channel are proceeding efficiently through the logical sequence of the legal process.
  • Take on special assignments as needed to resolve issues causing defects, helping other departments to resolve issues, and taking actions to remediate and move forward inventory.
  • Initiate Business Rules Management tickets, identifying issues with workflow design and working with Process Excellence Manager team & Business Rules Management to resolve and facilitate moving tickets through BUAT and into production.
  • Review & update process documentation (SOP, job aids, training materials).
  • Perform other duties, as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 3-5 years or equivalent experience in a project or process management role in a financial service-related field
  • Knowledge of internal operating system Workflow with capability to lead efforts to automate and improve processes through the Process Excellence Manager/ Business Rules Management ticket process.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships with peers internally and cross functionally.
  • Ability to identify root causes of defects in process, prioritize issues, and create effective action plans.
  • Proficiency with MS Excel.
  • Ability to pull inventory reports, export to Excel and create pivot tables.

PREFERRED

  • Lean Six Sigma or related experience/certification preferred
