Horizon Resources is hiring a Location Manager for our Watford City, ND terminal.

In this role, you will oversee the total operations of our grain facility. The Location Manager will be responsible for promoting a safe work environment for employees, inbound/outbound grain handling, facilities, and equipment maintenance, along with general housekeeping.

Horizon Resources is one of the largest and most successful cooperatives in North Dakota, complete with one BNSF shuttle loading facility, one single-car loading facility, and 4 truck houses. Their shuttle loading terminal features two driveways, each receiving grain at 20,000 bushels per hour and has two dedicated shipping legs capable of 54,000 bushels per hour combined capacity. The terminal is supported by four sub-stations including the Watford City location.

Position Overview

• Have a basic understanding of grain markets and ability to understand them or a willingness to learn.
• Employees will work closely with fellow Horizon location managers, farmers, logistics companies, grain clerks, sales reps, and the Grain Division Manager.
• Horizon Resources currently handles durum, spring wheat, winter wheat, canola, field peas, and feed barley. Ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of these commodities along with a desire to help grow the cooperative.
• Position is primarily Monday – Friday, (8 – 5) however, the ideal candidate will work extra hours when needed during harvest and busy seasons.
• Operation of automation systems, heavy equipment, and manufacturing equipment.
• Ensure equipment is working properly. Perform repairs and preventative maintenance as needed.
• Oversee operation of elevator facilities, grain dryers and perform the dumping, receiving, and storage of producer's grain.
• Monitor, inspect, and record incoming loads and materials in accordance with receiving documents.
• Delegation of responsibilities and tasks to direct reports.
• Understands, follows, and enforces safety protocols.

Required Qualifications

• Employee must show good character. Must be honest and trustworthy.
• Use of Microsoft Excel, grain accounting systems, and other computer programs.
• Ability to think on your feet, make decisions quickly, and delegate tasks to others.
• Previous experience with business operations budgeting and financials.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. Comfortable working at all heights, using ladders, and climbing.
• Working in all weather conditions, and in confined spaces.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous farm, milling, and/or elevator experience.
• Experience with electrical, hydraulic, or pneumatic systems.
• CDL truck driver experience or endorsement.
• Transporting, delivery, loading and unloading trucks

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
