Grade 1 Instructional Assistant

Hanscom Primary School is excited to welcome a new team member to our Grade 1 Team in the role of Instructional Assistant. Instructional Assistants support two classroom teachers throughout the day. The main responsibility of the role is to collaborate with the classroom teacher to build a safe, playful and welcoming classroom community. Other responsibilities include building strong relationships with the children, small group instruction, substituting for the Lead Teacher as needed, supporting with clerical tasks, and supervision during lunch and recess.


The hours for this position are 7:45-1:50 Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and 7:45-12:45 on Wednesdays. Ideal candidates will have experience working with young children; a degree in early childhood education is preferred but not required.
