Looking for enthusiastic professionals to join our 2023 team for San Luis Obispo County area events, including the occassional event further south in areas such as Ojai, Santa Barbara and Solvang. Majority of events are held in San Luis Obispo city area.

This is mainly for public ticketed events which are typically held Saturday mornings and are usually booked/scheduled months in advance. In addition, private event bookings come up during the year, which may be 1 - 2 per a month on average and may be on a weekday or weekend, and may also change dates/times at the client's discretion.

The ideal candidate is available during the height of our season; June, July and August every Saturday morning. Example hours; 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. (5 hour shift).

The average event is 1.5-2 hrs set-up, 1.5 hours event, 1 hr tear-down. Event time is most often 4-6 hours, some larger events may be up to 8 hours (rarely). Training pay is $15/hr and progresses with skills and position learned to $25/hr. Raises are merit and skill based, along with time with our business. Qualified team members may possibly be able to be promoted to event management later on with increased pay scale.

Team member will be responsible for setting up portable fencing (dog playpen style), seeing to the goats' care, food and water, setting up guest tables with marketing, merchandise, etc., facilitating participant waivers and check-in, greeting participants and answering their questions, along with offering exemplary customer service in an upbeat enthusiastic manner. After class, assisting participants with goat photos, sanitizing and putting away yoga mats, packing up fencing and materials, processing merchandise sales, loading goats and driving back to main ranch. Other tasks as assigned by ranch relating to the goat yoga; including but not limited to bathing and grooming goats, goat training, goat pen clean-up, goat care, maintenance of goat and goat yoga supplies, feeding of goats/baby goats.

Ideal candidate would have at least 5 years employment experience, with at least 3 years of Customer Service experience. Not an entry-level position; we expect to build on your existing customer service experience.

A valid drivers license is required. As we work with youth, applicants are subject to background check and driving record check.

We are specifically looking for team members who carry a professional and friendly attitude, possess critical reasoning skills, energetic and are flexible problem solvers. We deliver exemplary customer service and a professional event to our clients. Team member should be a candidate who is self-disciplined, possesses a solid work ethic, responsible and does not require immediate supervision to perform their job. They must be on-time and be able to complete their tasks on schedule so the event operates on schedule.

Goat Yoga is a lot of fun, but it is also actual work with a lot of behind the scenes work to put on seemingly 'effortless' events for private clients and the public. Keep in mind our events are a marathon, not a sprint.

Members of our team should be able to comfortably lift at least 45 lbs. Must be able to stand, walk, lift, bend, reach, twist, squat.

California Goat Yoga is a public outreach program by Mullenax Ranch, LLC. Our physical ranch and business is located in Tehachapi, CA and we commute statewide to put on events both private and public. We have served the San Luis Obispo county area for over 5 years.
