City Floral Landscaping is a small business in Denver, CO. We are professional, creative, fast-paced and our goal is to City Floral Garden Center, a 100+ year old Garden Center located in Central Denver, is seeking an experienced individual to manage our custom annuals division. Candidates must have a firm commitment to extremely high-quality standards, be well spoken, service minded, and a strong team player who works well alone or in a crew. They will be expected to receive and carry out instructions in a positive, productive manner and with strict adherence to City Floral’s standards of excellence in both products and services. They will consistently ask questions, be eager and able to learn new skills, have an extremely good eye for detail, and be willing to actively support and dedicate themselves to the unique philosophies and methodologies of the organization. Must be hard-working, reliable, on-time, and have a strong drive towards pride in their work along with a desire to continually improve upon existing skills, knowledge, and productivity, as they apply to City Floral in particular..

This is a full-time, seasonal position with the opportunity to become full-time, permanent with growth/development of the division through additional sales. This candidate will manage the annual division, installing all 4 seasons of annuals and bulbs. Duties include but not limited to:

Responsibilities:

  • Design, sales, and installation of all annuals/seasonal color projects
  • Meeting with potential clients to discuss their project.
  • Communication with clients throughout the project
  • Communication with other landscape departments when necessary
  • Manage, lead, and train multiple installation crews!
  • Willingness and ability to physically help install annuals when necessary.
  • Pulling, organization, staging and scheduling projects
  • Managing maintenance and watering of plants in holding area
  • Managing maintenance of annual beds on clients’ properties
  • Help with duties in other landscape departments during downtime or when necessary

Skills/Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years experience and/or management skills in landscape annuals
  • Strong annuals plant knowledge in design, estimating, and installation practices
  • Experience in sales and/or working directly with clients in a high-end, high-service environment
  • Ability to manage and lead multiple installation crews
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Possesses a sense of urgency to keep up with peak seasonal demands
  • Desire to work in both retail and field environments as required
  • Desire to work in a physical job where you will spend a lot of time outdoors
  • Ability to lift 20-50 lbs. repeatedly over the course of a shift
  • Willing and able to work weekends and early hours as needed
  • Detail orientated, strong communicational and organizational skills, self-starter, adaptable to different environments
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of people
  • Computer Competence – Microsoft (Outlook, Excel, Word), some experience with Quickbooks or CRM software a definite plus
  • Experience using a point-of-sale system for inventory tracking a plus
  • Driver’s License and good driving record a must

Pay: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour
