Activities Attendant Job Description

We are looking for a positive, compassionate Activities Attendant to operate and coordinate activity venues. They will speak to participants to instruct and get feedback, manage guests, volunteers and resources, and deliver fun, safe events while on time and under budget. You should be detail-oriented and possess excellent interpersonal and time management skills.

To succeed as an Activities Attendant, you should strive to stage entertaining, engaging activities that will appeal to the age and physical or emotional condition of the Guest. You should be observant, driven, creative, and caring.

Activities Attendant Responsibilities:

• Instructing, Planning and facilitating venues daily to encourage socialization, relaxation, and recreation.

• Overseeing activities that accommodate those with special needs or request

• Observing and Instructing participants at venues to gauge their enjoyment and obtain their feedback to improve venues and service.

• Help to keep records regarding venue planning, participant interest, and other notable information, such as injuries or behavioral incidents.

• Reporting medical concerns or observations.

• Ensuring that events are well-provisioned, Guest is trained and prepared, and that the activity takes place on time and safely.

• Providing participants with instructions for the Activity.

• Adhering to and enforcing all safety procedures.

Activities Attendant Requirements

• More education or experience with nursing, recreational activities, event planning, or related may be preferred.

• First-aid and CPR training a plus.

• Ability to pass a background check.

• Physical fitness, ability to walk, dance, stand, lift, or meet other physical demands.

• Adaptability and strong organization and time management skills.

• Excellent, interpersonal, decision making, and verbal and written communication skills.

• Patience and compassion when dealing with others, especially those who are young, injured, elderly, or from different backgrounds.

• Flexibility to work when needed, especially evenings, weekends, or holidays.

• Willingness to adhere to and enforce all safety policies and procedures

- Friday and Saturday 6PM-1AM

- Sunday 10AM - 5PM & 5PM - 11PM

Pay: $11.00/hr PLUS TIPS
