Wolsey Hall is a virtual, educational organisation, offering home study courses to Primary and Secondary students. Much of our work is with families who are homeschooling their children. We have students in over 120 countries and our business is growing steadily, thanks to many satisfied clients. Our website address is www.wolseyhalloxford.org.uk

We are looking for a PR Manager to work from home on a part-time, self-employed basis (approximately 16-20 hrs per week). The Wolsey Hall Oxford marketing department is a small team and as such we are happy to pull together and assist each other in order to move projects forward.

You will be responsible for:

  • Devising and implementing a PR strategy
  • Regular press releases to UK and International press
  • Building up a rapport with relevant UK and International journalists
  • SEO blog posting
  • Other copywriting projects as required
  • LinkedIn posts

Personal requirements:

  • Experience of working in PR
  • Ability to write interesting and engaging copy with good appreciation of grammar
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to build a rapport with key industry journalists
  • Ideally familiar with Wordpress (training can be provided)
  • An eye for detail
  • Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks
  • Ability to handle a busy and varied workload with a can-do attitude
  • Experience of working as part of a small team
