Forklift Operator

Forklift Driver/Material Handler

Assure complete and total control of Internal movement of product to and from storage within the warehouse and/or the accurate receiving and shipment of raw material, packaging and finished goods, following good manufacturing practices and food safety to assure receiving and shipment of safe, quality products.

Use of systems generated reports to determine production requirements and have raw materials and packaging available when needed. Monitor FIFO and the proper rotation of materials.

Job Duties:

Protect all inventories in a satisfactory manner so as to not damage the product, ensure food safety, quality, FIFO.

Maintain proper documentation of product movement, receiving and shipment.

Perform proper handling of forklift and ensure the safety thereof.

Must be able to communicate and interact with both Warehouse and Production personnel.

Regularly deals with other Forklift Operators and Line Suppliers to coordinate product movement.

Daily cleanliness of Blast, freezer, dry storage, chill, receiving dock and pre-stage hall.

Be cognizant of cooler / freezer units and report changes in atmosphere to Maintenance when necessary.

All other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Inventory Control Experience

Stand Up Forklift Experience

Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Chest height, ability to work in chill, freezer, and blast freezer temperatures.
