POSITION PURPOSE
Manages the fabrication process assuring safety, quality control, productivity, equipment maintenance and material staging. Supervises, trains, and leads Fabricators and other shop employees.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITES
- Executes work orders as received by Marble Shop or Project Manager and ensures streamlined communication throughout project.
- Ensure production goals are understood and met by all fabricators and reports work completed daily, including productions, timecards, cut sheets, and inventory reports. Adjusts work strategies daily to maximize production.
- Ensures the quality of the product produced is up to standards.
- Manage and stage materials for smooth production, and safe, efficient loading.
- Ability to organize, schedule, and complete fabrication of stone products as received.
- Ability to train, lead and coach other employees.
- Participates in daily huddles and practices safety as a priority on all job sites.
- Models The Gallegos Corporation mission and values at all times.
- This position does have supervisory responsibilities.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 5 years of marble and granite experience.
- Ability to read blueprints and other construction plans.
- Strong attention to detail with demonstrated accuracy and thoroughness.
Certifications:
- OSHA 10-hour training
Computer/Typing:
- Basic computer and typing experience.
Language Ability:
- Must have a working knowledge of the English language to communicate with other crew members, general contractors, etc.
