The Uftring Auto Group consists of eleven automotive franchises at six car dealerships in Peoria, East Peoria, Washington and North Pekin, Illinois. Responsibilities
- Determine cause of malfunction through the use of test equipment, test drive, service information (bulletins) and information supplied by customers
- Provide service advisors with accurate information for repairs (cost, parts needed, time, etc.)
- Review vehicle history files, promote the sales of labor and parts as needed on vehicles
- Report any damage or injury to service manager immediately
- Maintain regular attendance at shop meetings
- Document work performed and applicable technical information
- Keep work areas cleaned and organized
- Return company tools to designated areas daily
- Use all necessary precautions with customers’ vehicles (safety and cleanliness)
- Test drive with customers when necessary to prevent comebacks
- Maintain required production levels 100-110%
Qualifications
- Auto manufacture experience - some transmission experience preferred
- Ability to work well with others
- A desire to do tasks correctly the first time
- Professional attitude and capable of working with customers
- Maintain a clean and neat personal appearance
- Must be able to perform all required functions of this position
- Must have a valid Illinois driver’s license and an acceptable driving record
Hours
Monday through Friday: 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.
Every 3rd Saturday: 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.
