The Fixed Income Division is comprised of Credit Products, Interest Rate and Currency Products, and Distribution. Professionals in the Division assess, and actively manage risk, trade securities, and structure, as well as execute, innovative transactions in the fast-paced and constantly changing global

ROLE

The Credit Strat group is seeking a highly talented and motivated desk strategist with 3+ years of experience. The successful candidate will take a lead in FRTB (Fundamental Review of the Trading Book) agendas for Credit Corporate business, working with various different groups, including Risk Analytics, Technology, Trading and Strats. The candidate will build models, analytics and tools to optimize capital calculation and allocation, in a fast paced, real-time trading environment. Must have FRTB experience

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Capital model (RWA, CCAR, VaR, FRTB) experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline
  • Master's Degree in Financial Engineering, Engineering, Computer Science or other quantitative discipline
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience as a credit desk strategist / quant on either buy-side or sell-side
  • Product and pricing model knowledge (Corporate Bonds, Loans, Credit Index and Index Derivatives)
  • Programming experience in C++, Java, Scala and/or Python

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $150,000 and $200,000 per year for an Associate, and between $200,000 and $250,000 per year for a Vice President, at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs..
