Description:PURPOSE:
Reporting to the Senior Business Controller. The Financial Analyst will assist in the preparation of financial plans, build financial models, analyze financial performance, and assist in providing support to the Business Teams.

Requirements:EDUCATION AND/OR PROFESSIONAL LICENSE(s)/EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Financial Analysis, Finance, Accounting, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years in a related discipline

DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES, ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:*

  • Assists in the preparation of financial plans (Budget, Forecasts, Mid Term Plan)
  • Evaluates historical and current financial data to understand the company’s financial performance
  • Develops financial models that project business outcomes and profits
  • Assts in measuring financial risk associated with investment decisions
  • Assists with business-related financial activities associated with strategic projects to strengthen and evolve the business model to enhance profitability

o New products, materials, manufacturing processes, pricing, working capitalo Supports monthly, quarterly, and annual financial performance reportingo Assist with developing meaningful insights in financial results and how they may be improved.o Assists with Bid and Proposal efforts

  • Supports the preparation of timely, accurate, and meaningful ad hoc reports on various financial and operational results
  • Supports special projects that will result in streamlining existing processes for greater efficiencies throughout the organization
  • Participating in ad-hoc meetings and other opportunities to prepare, organize and interpret financial information.
  • Assists External Audits as needed with data collection.
  • Assists with analysis of Indirect Rates and annual Incurred Cost Submissions

POSITION SUPERVISES:
No direct supervisory responsibilities.
CONTACT WITH OTHERS:
This position requires contact and communication with all levels within the organization. Routine communication and reporting will also occur with the leadership team, and occasionally with government agencies and our independent audit firm.
