Located in the New England/Tri State area.

The Single-Use Technologies (SUD) business develops solutions used throughout the bioproduction workflow, from buffer and media preparation to bioreactor cultures for vaccines to the storage and shipping of intermediates and bulk biologics. SUT products include BioProcess Containers (BPCs), manifold assemblies, outer support containers, single-use fermenters, single-use bioreactors and single-use mixers.

How will you make an impact?

Our Field Service Engineer III will perform hardware qualifications, on-site service, maintenance, and repairs on a full range of Single Use bioreactors, fermenters, mixing systems and support equipment typically used in the Biopharmaceutical industry. The FSE will provide technical training and any required troubleshooting to ensure operation of equipment. They will also on occasion participate in installations as required.

What will you do?

  • Perform on-site, qualifications (FATs, SATs, and IOQ), maintenance and repairs which include but not limited to bioreactors, fermenters, and mixing systems
  • Provides a communication link between the customer and the company to help ensure that effective service and support is provided
  • Supports customers to analyze and seek issues to resolve source of problems, and recommends solutions or other corrective actions and
  • Provides effective end-user training and safe operations of equipment for efficient performance
  • Support Field Applications team as needed in providing effective valuable solutions on design and development, optimization, consultation, technical support, and troubleshooting of Single-Use systems to our customers

How will you get here?

Education

  • Minimum educational requirement is a bachelor’s degree in a Mechanical/Process Engineering or similar related Engineering/Science or technical field or equivalent work experience with a high school diploma required.

Experience

  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience with bioprocessing equipment in the biotech, biopharmaceutical, biologics, and/or life sciences industries in an engineering, technical or manufacturing capacity
  • Hands-on experience in hardware installations, qualifications (IOQ), coordinated control systems integration and ideally with experience using Single-Use products

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Knowledge & understanding of cGMP & other regulatory guidelines for the Biotech and Biopharmaceutical manufacturing industry
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience working with coordinated controls systems (i.e. Delta V, Siemens, and Allen Bradley) typically used within the Biotech and Biopharmaceutical Industry
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret electrical schematics and P&ID drawings
  • Project management skills combined with the ability to multi-task optimally
  • Ability and willingness to work across professional & cross-functional teams
