The State of New Hampshire, Department of Safety, Division of Emergency Services and Communications has a full-time vacancy for Data Control Clerk III, which has a 37.5 hour work week and is non-exempt.
SCOPE OF WORK: Work throughout the Division of Emergency Services and Communications to collect, verify and edit location data, and enter data into various databases. This position will require travel throughout the state, using a state vehicle.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Collect, review and process data derived from onsite review, State databases, telephone provider reports and GIS departments.

Utilize communications management systems for statewide telecommunications inventories, service requests and completed service work. Collects data in the field for state owned telephony and communications equipment.

Assist programmers with the use of Microsoft Access, Excel and other Microsoft Office Suite software programs to resolve processing problems related to correction of data and/or incorrect procedures.

Collects field data and performs comparisons of data sets for GIS Databases. Process files from other agencies, author GIS data in the office, and manipulate field data.

Assist Field Representatives and local Municipal Liaisons by using system analysis to discover and document problems relating to data between the Telephone and GIS Database.

Review various Division forms for completeness and accuracy, inputs data correctly into the proper computer systems and consults with customers to resolve accuracy problems with forms prior to data entry.

Provide input for the modifications of official techniques for data review, data verification and recommends the use of software to improve operations and/or streamline workflows.

Organize work assignments, adjust plans and create schedules to efficiently complete data collection and office data entry assignments for Division.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

1.5 Years of additional relevant experience = Associate's Degree


3 Years of additional relevant experience = Bachelor's Degree


4.5 Years additional relevant experience = Master's Degree



Education: High school diploma or high school equivalency credential. Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience.

Experience: Three years of experience in the review, analysis and control of EDP input data, two years of which must have been at the level of a Data Control Clerk II.

License/Certification: Valid New Hampshire Driver’s license.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Selected candidate will undergo a fingerprint based criminal background check and motor vehicle record check in order to ensure suitability for exposure to confidential information.
