GVI, Inc., a Federal Government contracting industry leader, is seeking Acquisition Specialists to support our customer.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide efficient and cost-effective acquisition support services.
  • Provide the planning, coordination, technical direction, and surveillance of the activities necessary to assure disciplined work performance and timely resources application to accomplish all tasks issued under the contract.
  • Establish, implement, and maintain technical management and oversight of all work performed under this order.
  • Assure the technical excellence, cost effectiveness, and timeliness of all required work and deliverable products.
  • Responsible for maintaining communication with the Contracting Officer (CO), Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR), and Technical Point of Contact (TPOC) and to immediately notify the CO, COR, and TPOC of any problems that would prevent timely performance of the task.
  • Assist in conducting market research to identify potential sources and contract vehicles, consulting with Strategic Supplier Management to confirm adherence with the overall acquisition strategy. Potential Provide Independent Government Cost Estimate Assistance
  • Provide assistance in preparing Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs).
  • Assist in development and preparation of Performance Work Statements (PWS) Statements of Work (SOW), Statements of Objective (SOO) and other requirements documents.
  • Provide advice and recommendations for all elements in acquisition plans, including approaches, options, strategies, risks, contracting methods, competition, sources, cost, milestone schedule, etc.
  • Assist with drafting Limited Competition Justification forms
  • Perform Documentation Preparation for Required Reviews and Approvals
  • Assist with Development of Documentation Required to Support Procurement
  • Assist in the development of Technical Evaluation Plans, provide expert assistance in supporting proposal evaluations, including technical proposal analysis and cost/price analysis, serve as a non-voting member on Technical Evaluation Panels, ensure Conflict of Interest/Nondisclosure Forms are signed, prepare evaluation sheets.
  • Review acquisition packages for compliance with policies and procedures, educate customers on how to properly prepare acquisition packages, run reports in acquisition tracking systems and analyze quality measure data, assist in the preparation of briefings to management on acquisition quality.
  • Assist with data entry and validation in acquisition tracking systems, monitor and report on acquisition timeliness, assist in the preparation and delivery of communications and briefings on acquisitions, assist in identifying and tracking carts of concern until they are submitted to Procurement, and track and report on Procurement milestones to ensure timely award.
  • Assist the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR), supporting personnel, and management

Requirements:

  • US Citizen
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or a related field from an accredited college or university is required.
  • Twelve years of federal acquisitions experience

Pay: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
