GHR Search is seeking an experienced Family Nurse Practitioner for a part time opportunity with a local health clinic in Philadelphia. This is a contract opportunity for the City of Philadelphia.

Hours:

Tuesdays 8:00am-12:00pm/2:00pm

Thursdays 8:00am-12:00pm/2:00pm

Hours may vary between 4 and 6 hours shifts due to variation of patient flow and clinic needs.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and treat patients with acute and chronic complaints related to specialty and according to written standardized practices/procedures/policies.
• Obtain complete or interval medical histories and conduct appropriate clinical examinations based on history/complaint and interpretation/management of normal and abnormal findings.
• Perform/Order and/or evaluate diagnostic studies as indicated based on obtained medical history and clinical examination.
• Order/Prescribe/Dispense medications according to written standardized practices/procedures/policies and acquire counter-signature from supervising physician on designated medications.
• Perform designated office procedures/diagnostic studies after appropriate competency verified and in agreement with written standardized practices/procedures/policies.
• Communicate and interact with patients, families, staff and members of the community from diverse backgrounds.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements:

• Current RN licensure and current Nurse Practitioner Certification in accordance with the State of Pennsylvania requirements.
• Nurse Practitioner must have current/active DEA number from the United States Drug Enforcement Agency for schedule II-V controlled substances.
• Certification as a Nurse Practitioner by a nationally accredited nursing organization (i.e., American Academy of Nurse Practitioners - AANP or American Nurses Credentialing Center - ANCC).
