The Opportunity
Our La Porte TX facility is looking for a Facility Maint. Repair III. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing maintenance activities on a variety of equipment, performing hands-on maintenance activities specializing in Boilers, Pumps, Welding, and Electrical and mechanical applications.

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensuring that Health and Safety are the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times.
- Performs maintenance activities including, but not limited to, Boilers, Pump rebuilds, Preventative Maintenance, some welding, installations of pipe, Electric work, and Forklift operations.
- Performs Boiler PM and repairs and upkeep in Welding, Electrical, Pipe fitting, Mechanic, Pneumatic, and Hydraulic.
- Directs the activities of maintenance personnel on larger, more complex maintenance activities;
- Works independently on facility projects and maintenance.
- Operates a forklift if required and trained.
- Responsible for performing and documenting a daily safety check prior to operating.
- Operate Light Duty Company Trucks.
- Ensures that work meets all applicable Health and Safety Standard Operating Procedures.
- Reviews all applicable SOPs and satisfactorily completes quizzes.
- Ensures, understands, and has ownership of area-specific permit-required compliance standards.
- Responsible for maintaining a clean work environment.
- Performs other assignments as assigned by management.
- Understands Clean Compliance Standard.
What does it take to work for Clean Harbors?
- 5+ years of specific trade experience (Boilers, Welding, Electrical, Pipe fitting, or Mechanics).
- 5+ years of plant experience.

Shift: First shift position 6:30 am 3 pm roughly – overtime as required with some projects on weekends
Education/Experience:
- Must have experience in maintenance. I need an individual contributor level.
- Technical certificates in either animatronics, automation, or mechanics are preferred but not required.
- At least 3 years of experience in a maintenance role is preferred.
- Experience in boilers and a journeyman or higher electrician preferred.
- Experience in being directly responsible for maintenance tasks is preferred.
Details of the position:
This position will be the main maintenance person for warehouse 2 - the autoclave that includes robots, a boiler room, and many moving parts. This is a new operation set up and I need someone that is a self-starter. The last candidate failed because they would hide and did not have any urgency. I need a truly experienced professional to handle the routine maintenance items that come up in the Autoclave operations and then up to 25% of the time assist with other facility items as time allows. This includes routine inspections and change-outs. It is expected after initial training, this person will be able to operate independently without supervision.
