JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Student Affairs , a division of Penn State University, is seeking a Facilities Supervisor to join their team.
This position oversees the operations and facility maintenance of the HUB-Robeson Center , a 297,219 sq. ft. student-centered building in the center of campus at University Park.
Responsibilities include:
Supervision of three full time Facilities Supervisor level 2 positions and 28 technical service staff working three shifts in a 24/7 open facility
Work includes overseeing building projects, providing excellent communication with all building tenants, students, university community and guests who utilize the facility
Serves as the primary liaison with the Office of Physical Plant (OPP) and ensures a safe working environment for all patrons and staff
Serves as the Student Affairs Safety Officer and supports the senior director in Student Affairs Facility Coordinator initiatives
Education and Experience:
Typically requires an Associate's degree of higher and 4+ years related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Certifications, Registrations or Licensure:
The following may be required depending on the specific position: Emergency Medical Technician Certification, Commonwealth of PA Public Applicator Permit, related trade certification, PA Public Pesticide Application Certification, PA Commercial Driver’s License, IIRC Certification
This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid driver’s license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks.

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
