If you have at least 5 years experience as an Executive Chef in a high-volume scratch kitchen including creating and writing recipes, we want to hear from you! Ideal candidates will have a start-up mentality and a proven track record of developing and implementing cost controlling systems.

MFG is a growing mulit-concept restaurant group, currently with 4 restaurant concepts located Mishawaka, IN; Corndance Tavern, Bourbon & Butcher, Evil Czech Brewery and Jesús Latin Grill & Tequila Bar. Carnegie Library Special Events is our private event space seating up to 175 guests and is located in the upper level of Jesús. Multi-unit & mulit-concept management experience is a plus.

You will be responsible executing the brand in accordance with Market Fresh Gourmet guidelines.

You will provide direction, training and coaching while understanding and demonstrating MFG standards, policies and procedures, Vision of “A Passion to Serve,” and our Mission of focusing on our guests, each other, our stakeholders and the communities in which we do business.

Duties Include:

• Taking ownership BOH operations including but not limited to; scheduling, ordering, prep lists, cleaning, running the kitchen.
• Reporting to and working with the General Manager, Corporate Chef and Director of operations.
• Maintaing P&L costs to company standards.
• Hiring, training and retaining team members.
• Work with vendors to maintain quality and integrity of products.
• Teaching, coaching, leading and developing a team of Sous Chefs, lead line and the entire BOH team.
• Assist with menu developement and roll-outs.
• Ensure procedure changes are rolled out in a clear, precise and effective manner.
• Ensuring that the strictest standards of sanitation, food safety and cleanliness are practiced in every restaurant, by ever team member on a daily basis.
• A focus on culinary excellence.
• Recipe adherence (making sure all recipes are up to date & being followed)
• Diagnose and help troubleshoot kitchen opportunities.

Job requirements:

• Strong administrative skills including, email & text communication, P&L knowledge, ordering & inventory management.
• Current Serve Safe Certificate
• Ability to work with dynamic teams
• developing and implementing cost controlling systems.

Other Requirements:

• High school graduate or GED equivalent.
• Must be able to speak, read, write, understand and conduct two way communications in English and Spanish.
• Must be able to perform basic business mathematical computations.
• Must be able to meet the specific requirements for alcohol and food handling which may require licensing or certification.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and listening skills including verbal and written communications.
• Ability to interact positively and professionally with people at all levels, both internally and externally.
• Problem analysis and resolution skills.
• Ability to select, coach, develop, and retain strong teams.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
