The Position:

The Event Dishwasher at the Barn at Gibbet Hill is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in the kitchen by cleaning and washing dishes, utensils, pots, and pans. The Event Dishwasher ensures that all kitchen equipment is sanitized and ready for use by other event staff. The event dishwasher will be expected to fully support the event team and may help with many other tasks as directed by the shift supervisor. Full time and part time hours available in a fun and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain the dishwashing machine to clean dishes, utensils, pots, and pans.
• Hand-wash items that cannot be cleaned by the machine.
• Dry and stack dishes and other items in appropriate storage areas.
• Ensure that all kitchen equipment is properly sanitized and ready for use by other kitchen staff.
• Sweep and mop the kitchen floor, and take out the trash as needed.
• Assist in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen by following established procedures and protocols.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to management.
• Follow all safety and sanitation protocols to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.

Requirements:

• Must be at least 16 years old to apply
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
