An Estimating Manager must be attentive to detail, possess excellent analytical skills, and be knowledgeable of all aspects of the printing process as well as all other Colortech operations (warehouse, fulfillment) The Estimating Manager will be responsible for engineering the best production plan for any given project and for calculating a market competitive selling price along with the materials required to execute that plan. The Estimating Manager may also be responsible for assisting Colortech subsidiaries with estimating projects (Blue Cardinal Photography). Working collaboratively with other departments will be required to ensure a complete and successful project. This position will report to the company President.

Minimum requirements:

· Associate degree in Business, bachelor’s degree preferred. 2+ years of experience in related job functions. A combination of relevant experience and education can be approved by senior management.

· Strong PC skills including proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Quickbooks Pro. Familiarity with electronic estimating software, preferably PSI.

· Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills. Ability to communicate professionally and effectively, both verbal and written/email, to gain necessary information, from customers and/or team members, to initiate job estimating process.

· Must have the ability to comprehend and analyze complex documents and work quickly and accurately to meet deadlines under pressure, including on a consistent basis, to read and interpret documents and instructions from customers, vendors, and other team members.

· Additional responsibilities: Answer the phone, customer service when needed, work with outside vendors, review current work, order paper and shop supplies, manage inventory, pull and verify cost reports, review actual time vs estimated job times, find more effect ways to produce jobs, create billing reports.

· Planning: Review estimate requests and work with internal business partners to determine most efficient fit, recommending alternate solutions when they better leverage our platform.

· Strategy: Develop pricing based on fit, schedule availability/seasonality, current market conditions and capacity considerations, suggesting value added services for increased profitability.

· Analysis: Analyze past/similar job cost recovery for guidance in determining where/how to be more competitive, with incentives for more efficient run plans.

· Execution: Generates accurate, timely, market-competitive estimates and pricelists, which they update, revise, and clean up as needed for escalations, material increases, billing issues, etc.

· Communication: Works with Sales, Department Managers, and customers as subject matter expert to ensure client satisfaction. Meets with team members to discuss strategic direction of pricing and production plan for projects. Will work with various other departments and develop professional relationships to ensure a complete and successful project.

· Suggests areas for improvement in internal processes along with possible solutions.

· Works with other management to reduce company costs/wastes and to optimize profitability in areas of responsibility.

· Attends client/sales conferences and meetings as required.

· All other tasks as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $46,000.00 per year
