ESE Tutor withTeaching Certificate (or Certificate of Eligibility)
Job description
Tutor Doctor of Lakeland is changing the trajectory of students' lives with our personalized 1-on-1 in-home and virtual tutoring. We are looking for candidates to fill the role of tutor to students with identified special needs (dyslexia, autism, etc.).
The tutor should have at least one of the following:
- Current Florida teaching certificate (renewable/permanent or temporary)
- Current Certificate of Eligibility from State of Florida
- Bachelor's degree (MAT, for example) in education
The tutor will work with students, typically first through 7th grade, to help them achieve their academic goals. The focus for most students is reading, math, or both. Tutors who can tutor both areas for ESE students are encouraged to apply!
Ideally, tutors will be able to travel to the students' homes in Lakeland, though some opportunities may be virtual.
Tutors must agree to undergo a basic criminal background check, and the tutor role is a contract position.
