Position:

Coax Splicer Technician - Level 1

Company information:

A telecommunications company is working alongside one of the largest cable companies in the US to provide support for their coax and fiber initiatives by doing node splits. Job Description:

Day to day involves splicing coax cable in conjunction with other team members such as fiber splicers and lead coax splicers. Perform splicing tasks, abiding by all safety measures, and communicating effectively with said leaders. Individuals will be working outside in all-weather climates at varying heights using a bucket truck. A bucket truck will be provided for everyone. Ability to lift 50-100 pounds and be on ladder for periods of time will be required.

Work Environment/Locations:

Locations are across the US. Some areas include Oregon, Washington, California and Colorado.

Training:

As you begin your career you will fly to Seattle for a 4-week training. During this time, individuals will be taught the basics splicing as it relates to coax and fiber, learn safety measures, shadow current members on the team, how to drive a bucket truck, and begin doing the work on your own.

Traveling Information

  • When traveling for training and/or work, you will receive a stipend each day. Amount is varied per state due to federal mandate.
  • Flight compensation will be available for the following- Flight out to the training center, flight to designated work location, and a quarterly trip home for a week.
  • Lodging will be provided when traveling.
