Engineering Technician 1- SR DOQ, Development Review Division, works with other Development Review members to complete the review of roadway, stormwater, and utility infrastructure components for conformance with local and state codes, ordinances, and standards.

Job Description
What You Will Do
Review development plans and calculations for code compliance and prepare comment response.- Assist applicants with process requirements.
- Collaborate with other team members for complete project review.
- Be an intricate component of the Division’s team environment.
- Ability to adapt to a changing environment and handle multiple project reviews.
- Interested in process improvement.
- Work experience in design or inspections.
- Knowledge of the principals of engineering as applied to land development.
Minimum Qualifications
All levels
High School Diploma or equivalent- Require a driver’s license with valid Florida driver’s license within 30 days of hire.
- Minimum of 1 year of work experience related to the area of assignment.
- Knowledge of techniques, tools and equipment used in area of assignment, utilizing manual and/or computer methods, basic mathematics, including geometry, algebra, and trigonometry.
- Knowledge of computer operations for AutoCAD drafting or data entry processing, with ability to sit at workstations for long periods of time.
- Two or more years of work experience related to area of assignment.
- Prior design experience desired (but not required).
- Three or more years of work experience related to area of assignment.
- College level course work or training in engineering technology desired (but not required).
- Four or more years of work experience related to area of assignment.
- Associate's degree in Civil Engineering or related engineering field desired (but not required).
