Job Overview:
Responsible for providing administrative and logistical support to site project engineers for the contracted scope of work. Handles admin requirements, summarize basic data reports for periodic operating statements and maintain management information to stay in compliance with the government and management directives.
Responsibilities:
Essential Duties & Job Functions:
  • Support the field through independent admin critical analysis of submittals, shop drawings, and expediting material deliveries.
  • Help with gathering data for projects and help with these reports.
  • Safety - Participate in the jobsite safety meetings, weekly safety audits, etc. Where necessary in the interests of safety, issue stop work directives.
  • Quality - Facilitate and/or participate in Preparatory Meetings, Initial Inspections, Follow-up Inspections, etc.
  • Working knowledge of how the project Scope of Work, Execution Plan, and deliverables align to the project planning strategies related to field operations (i.e., schedule, submittals, constructability review, installation validation, BIM to Field Layout, Field Layout to BIM). Ability to review and navigate within the current 3D model viewing and scheduling software and collaborate with the team.
  • Assist management in direct oversight of department’s daily operation.
  • Participate in assigned long-term preventative maintenance programs and projects.
  • Involve in department’s routine operations by handling repairs and assisting management with administrative duties.
  • Decide on equipment’s, materials, and subcontract sources.
  • Supervise installation and initial startup of engineering equipment.
  • Perform and record machine tool capability studies.
  • Identify and debug for production problems as needed.
  • Modify processes to enhance operation productivity.
  • Assign, train, develop and supervise work of engineering department.
  • Accept other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:

Mandatory:


  • Guam residency.
  • A verifiable 4-year BS degree in Civil, Structural, Architecture or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Computer software - Microsoft Office Software, specifically Excel based templates, Primavera P6, REVIT and Autodesk-AutoCAD.
  • Familiarity with Design software i.e., STAAD PRO.
  • Possess exceptional skills in Microsoft Office, which includes word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation programs. Must be able to prepare correspondence in proper format and include tables, charts, lists, graphs, etc. in final packages with minimal errors.
  • Possess initiative, with ability to complete both routine/repetitive and unique/one-time tasks without supervision. Problem solving skills required to adapt guidance and procedures to new situations, seeking assistance only when required.
  • Possess the ability to communicate effectively with others, including senior government officials, managers, supervisors, and customers in a professional demeanor.
  • Possess the ability to maintain strict confidence.
  • Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license with a suitable driving record.
  • Obtain and maintain a favorable National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) as required by contract.
