Grades 1-3: Teacher/Full-Time: Good Shepherd Catholic Montessori (GSCM) is seeking a dynamic individual to join our Lower Elementary team as a lead director/directress for the 2023-24 school year. The director/directress will join our lower elementary team of teachers, serving 2 self-contained 6-9 environments that serve grades 1-3. The environment has a full complement of Montessori materials. The environment has a full-time assistant teacher.
GSCM offers a strong Catholic identity and the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd to help children develop a profound, joyful relationship with God. Applicants should be able to support a vibrant Catholic environment, which integrates Catholic faith formation with Montessorian view of cosmic education. CGS is incorporated into each classroom through daily prayer, and a trained catechist implements the full Catechesis program. GSCM offers catechesis training for those who are interested.
We have fully-equipped Montessori classrooms with classroom budgets to encourage teacher creativity. Teachers also receive support through professional development funds and an incredible outpouring of parental support in many ways. The ideal candidate will hold a valid teaching license or non-tax alternative as well as an appropriate Montessori certification. Candidate must follow Archdiocesan guidelines for safe environment training and pass a background check.
