Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for supervising the electrical team and activities within predictive maintenance, equipment repair and rebuilding, electrical, refrigeration, grounds equipment, and maintenance training programs.

Manage electrical team through effective utilization of employee skills, ensuring safe work practices are adhered to, and verification that work performed complies with applicable specifications and codes.

Coordinate daily with facility planning group to develop and organize electrical team work schedules and ensure their proactive maintenance work is well-planned.

Participate in development and training efforts of facility operations and maintenance personnel in the design features, process operation, interpretation, and application of systems.

Lead efforts to improve facility electrical systems through review, testing, repair, and maintenance of the power distribution systems and networks that support the manufacturing processes.

Collaborate with Electrical and Automations Manager to manage project timelines and budget.

Be available for offsite and/or onsite support as needed during facility emergency and downtime events.

Collaborate with facility Technical Maintenance team to ensure facility is maintained in compliance with applicable inspection schedules, regulations, and codes.

Oversee electrical team skills development, mechanical and electrical downtime response, housekeeping, safety policy administration, discipline, employee relations, cost control, and problem solving while ensuring budgeted performance is monitored and compliant.

Education : High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Years of Related Experience : 7 years related experience

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities :
Strong leadership and technical skills with previous electrical supervisor experience

Ability to coach and train electrical technicians

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

7 years experience working in industrial maintenance or equivalent training and experience

Willing to be available 24-hours for emergency situations as necessary

Technical working knowledge of low voltage systems (24VDC-480VAC)

Ability to read electrical schematics

Familiarity with relevant state and federal codes and safety requirements

Basic PC skills including expertise with MS Office and Outlook.

Must have basic mathematical and problem-solving skills in order to generate and maintain departmental reports.

Knowledge of NFPA 70E and Arc Flash

Preferred Skills

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field is strongly preferred

Controls and automation experience with ability to read and write programs for Allen Bradley Compact/Control Logix, Powerflex VFDs, Kinetix Servo Drives and other AB hardware.

Experienced working and managing with a computerized maintenance management system

Knowledge of occupational hazards, safety, EPA regulations, USDA and sanitation standards preferred.

Working knowledge of food plant production and processing equipment preferred.

SAP experience beneficial.

Experienced with continuous improvement processes (i.e. root cause analysis, Kaizen, 5S, 6-sigma)
