Job Description
Reflow of printed circuit boards (PCB) to metal housings and carriers. Proficient in hand soldering of small electronic components to circuit card assemblies (CCAs). Preparation and soldering/crimping of multi-stranded small gauge wire to connectors and (PCB) pads. Assembly of high frequency RF cabling, soldering various types of connectors to flex and semi rigid cables. All workmanship must meet J-STD or other requirements as specified.
Follows computer based production drawings and verbal instructions with minimum supervision. Understands and applies established acceptable workmanship practices to all facets of electronic assembly. Required knowledge of and/or certification in:

Maintain neat work area compliant with Electrostatic (ESD) control program, ANSI/ESD S20.20 Connects component lead wires to printed circuit or routes and connects wires between individual component leads and other components, connectors, terminals, and contact points. Performs all “mechanical” assembly tasks, such as potting, encapsulating, sanding, cleaning, epoxy bonding. Performs work (soldering and general inspection) under microscope. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Strong attention to detail while maintaining steady workflow.
Will train motivated individual with strong work ethic to perform indicated job functions.
Comprehensive knowledge of electronics manufacturing terminology, tools and materials applicable to crimp terminations (wire and lead preparation), mechanical fastening hardware (screws, bolts, etc., press fits), soldering (solder appearance, rejection criteria), epoxy (preparation, application).
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee must frequently lift and or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally life and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, toxic or caustic chemicals, and hot tools/surfaces. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Work may require overtime of 10 hour days or occasional weekend work.
