Title:

KBR is seeking a NATOPS/NATIP Editor to join our Team. This position will be located at Lexington Park Maryland, supporting a NAVAIR project onboard NAS Patuxent River and will work with a contractor subject matter expert.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Prepares draft material for internal review by subject matter experts and final review by customer. The successful candidate must be flexible and have the ability to adapt to new information and programs.

• In order to prepare technical documentation, the NATOPS/NATIP editor will receive rough technical data from a distributed team and incorporate the information into a properly formatted Arbortext xml file.

• The NATOPS/NATIP editor will be responsible for ongoing updates to Table of Contents, List of Illustrations, Glossary, and List of Acronyms as technical information is created.

• Attends meetings to support Logistics Product Support and the Technical Data Groups as required.

• Provides technical assistance and address impacts to product and schedule.

• Reviews daily and weekly changes and update tracking systems when needed.

• Provides inputs to changes from stake holders as required.

• Attends meetings to support NATOPS/NATIP products and the NATOPS Team as required.

• Completes required KBR and ACO annual training to include cybersecurity and information assurance training.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree plus five years of rated experience. Experience will be accepted in lieu of a degree.

• Must be proficient using Arbortext, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and Microsoft software suite.

• Must have an active secret level security clearance and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Must be able to review, format, and convert to Arbortext draft NATOPS/NATIP and other material for internal review by subject matter experts and final review by customer.

• Must be able to work independently, be team oriented, and possess strong customer facing skills.

• Must be flexible and have the ability to adapt to new information and programs.

• Must have the ability to write in a clear and concise manner,

• Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Must have the ability to research, review, and understand technical information.

Preferred, but Not Required:

• Must have experience with the format of NAVAIR NATOPS, NATIP and derivative publications.

• The NATOPS/NATIP Editor will be experienced with the format of NAVAIR NATOPS, NATIP and derivative publications.

• Familiarity with the NATOPS/NATIP family of technical products as described.

• Competent with the use of Product Life Cycle Management tools: Team Center Enterprise, SharePoint and other Data Management systems.

• Familiar with AIRS, E-Power and Airworthiness website is a plus.

Attendance:

• Must exhibit flexibility of work hours to adjust to surge situations based on critical mission requirements.

• Travel (including airline travel) is required.
