Job Summary and Qualifications

• You will demonstrate an understanding of topics including, but not limited to cancer, radiation biology, radiation therapy techniques, radiation oncology physics, equipment technology, radiation safety and protection, anatomy, physiology, and mathematics to generate treatment plans
• You will, once the treatment plan has been generated, be responsible for communicating the plan to the Licensed Practitioner, and then to the Radiation Therapist for implementation
• You will maintain a commitment to a high degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and safety
• You will use critical thinking skills when performing treatment planning, plan evaluation, recognizing and resolving equipment problems and treatment discrepancies

Qualifications you will need for this role:

• Formal Dosimetry training w/CMD
• RTT on CMD path
• Medical Dosimetrist Certification Eligible
• Medical Dosimetrist Certification preferred
• BLS Certification through American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Bachelor’s College Degree (4 yr program) on CMD path
• Master’s degree preferred
• 3-5 years’ experience preferred
