The Distribution Tech keeps medical supplies within the patient care departments of the hospital at levels that maintain maximum usage of the supplies, and to place orders and deliver supplies and office items to non-clinical departments. The Distribution Tech is responsible for maintaining the supply requisition forms for both patient charge and non-patient charge items, and will also make adjustments to the inventory and transfer the items to the various departments via the computer.

The Distribution Tech will cross train with the Purchasing Agent to be able help cover basic duties such as receiving products from vendors and issuing to the requesting departments, as well as issuing routine and emergency purchase orders for items already established.

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Prior experience in Materials/Supply or related field preferred

2. Hospital experience preferred

3. Ability to use a computer and search the internet

4. Good written and verbal communication skills

Wages are based on prior related experience.
