Distribution/Maintenance Assistant - F/T
Job description
OCO's Health & Nutrition Services include Family Planning, WIC, Meals on Wheels, Cancer Services and more. This position assists with distribution and performs various janitorial duties.
DUTIES:
- Works with production staff on meal assembly line and ensures the proper number of meals are packed for each route
- Loads meal route coolers for distribution staff for daily deliveries and ensures that all supplies and paperwork are sent to satellite sites
- Washes various delivery equipment including coolers and hot meal transporters
- Assists with the transport of Agency vehicles for maintenance and other purposes
- Independently complete daily checklist of cleaning and routine tasks
- Maintenance duties include: mopping floors, emptying trash, cleaning sinks, toilets and bathroom floors
- Maintain needed supplies; follow procedure when supplies are low to obtain more
REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions
- Ability to read and correctly interpret information to carry out duties accordingly
- Ability to lift 35 pounds or more regularly
- Flexibility with duties/work schedule to meet program needs
- Basic computer skills
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent and three months related experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Valid NYS Driver's License with a good driving record and access to a reliable, properly insured vehicle for reimbursed travel
Full-time - 30 hours/week with flexibility required
Grade 5
Monday through Friday – 8:00 am to 2:30 pm
