Responsible for the oversight and management of the Purchasing team and sourcing specialist; sourcing, negotiation and contracting of Clinical Site Goods and Services category; and responsible for developing and managing the Supplier Performance Program.

Responsible for the oversight and management of the Purchasing team and sourcing specialist; sourcing, negotiation and contracting of Clinical Site Goods and Services category; and responsible for developing and managing the Supplier Performance Program.
Responsibilities
- Manages and monitors the purchasing department and sourcing specialist to ensure all departmental goals are achieved.
- Supports all supply chain related and supplier requirements for the Clinical Site Goods and Services category.
- Sources, negotiates, and contracts the best value with suppliers to achieve the lowest purchase price with the best quality and service.
- Develops and manages the Supplier Performance Program to include but not limited to, scorecard tracking, supplier risk profile, on time delivery, manage cost and quality to ensure specific contractual metrics are adhered to and other KPIs that are deemed appropriate.
- Maintains, supports, and promotes policies and procedures which are followed by the strategic sourcing team when making purchasing decisions.
- Acts as a liaison for the company and troubleshoots when problems arise with purchasing decisions.
- Monitors and evaluates employee performance. Holds employees accountable for the attainment of defined goals and objectives. Executes effective performance redirection when needed. Develops employees through coaching, mentoring, and formal/on the job training and development opportunities.
- Ensures compliance with policies, procedures and regulatory mandates including but not limited to abiding to the terms of the Amedisys Compliance Program.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required-
- Bachelor's degree in business with course work in supply chain / procurement / inventory control; or six (6+) years of equivalent experience in lieu of degree.
- Ten (10+) years of supply chain / procurement experience.
Preferred-
- MBA, ISM and or CSCM membership designations.
- Healthcare supply chain and procurement experience.
