Job description
Plans, organizes, directs and evaluates resources and quality management services, leads the Life wings Quality Safety Committee as well as reports the status and progress of the Quality Program to the Governing Board Quality, Leadership and Medical Staff meetings on a quarterly basis and as requested. The Director of Quality will oversee Accreditation Audits, responses and corrective actions necessary. Teams responsible for and lead include Policy and Procedure and Document Review Committee, Internal Audit Committee, and the Life wings Quality Safety Committee This role provides ongoing education in quality and serves as a resource to all managers, directors and anyone involved in the performance improvement processes at Holy Cross Hospital with the objective of improving patient safety and customer satisfaction. Oversees the work of the Clinical Documentation Specialist and Core Measures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing required. Master's degree in Nursing or related field - Business and/or Health Care Administration required.
- Current New Mexico license as a Registered Nurse required.
- Certified Professional in Health Care Quality preferred.
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in health related field required.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in Management required.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills required.
- Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize Microsoft Office Suite programs required. Skilled or able to learn Excel and data collection methods and reporting results in graphs and understandable formats.
