The Institutes’ RiskStream Collaborative is a large consortium operating in the P&C and L&A insurance industry, with some of the largest carriers, brokers and reinsurers as members. To-date we have developed a blockchain based private platform (Canopy) that enables our insurance member companies to securely integrate core systems of record (like claims systems) and participate in shared business processes using Canopy to share and verify data without an intermediary. This distributed network has been developed in partnership with technology providers, like Kaleido.


Director of Product Operations, Auto Insurance Focus

We have an exciting opportunity for a Director of Product Operations, Auto Insurance Focus to join our RiskStream Collaborative! This role is primarily responsible for staff operations within RiskStream’s Product Department, with a focus on managing projects related to the auto insurance sector. In this role, you’ll manage staff members and assists RiskStream’s insurance consortium in creating multiparty business process solutions. What You’ll be Doing:

  • Lead RiskStream’s auto insurance-oriented working groups - recruit product participants; hold product design sessions; obtain product requirements; work with technical partner to transfer product requirements; work with integration partners on integrations; demo product proof of concepts; organize and execute pilots; create and enable adoption plans.
  • Direct and develop staff to achieve organizational goals through effective, independent and interdependent contribution.
  • Maintain documentation regarding various projects, processes, and operations. Provide insight into how insurance companies and processes work for Product Management team in support of designing and developing use cases; answer questions and requests.
  • Assess insurance sector factors by comparing the RiskStream products and roadmap with industry trends and direction.
  • Provide industry knowledge via research reports on various sectors of RiskStream product exploration.
  • Maintain a holistic viewpoint across all RiskStream use cases and products. Recommend the nature and scope of present and future product lines by reviewing product specifications and requirements; reviewing new product ideas and/or product or packaging changes based on a study of industry and ecosystem trends.
  • Provide source data for product line communications by providing insurance industry elated insight in support of product marketing communication objectives.
  • Work with working groups, key technical partner(s), RiskStream leadership to understand capacity and report on potential product availability by reviewing and analyzing budget and production schedules.
  • Introduce and markets new products by developing time-integrated plans with operations, marketing, and technical providers.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required with a focus in data science, economics, statistics or risk management preferred. A CPCU or related claims credential (AIC) is a plus.
  • Two or more years’ experience within the insurance industry, particularly in auto claims, preferred.
  • Two or more years product management experience, or related experience, required.
  • General understanding of blockchain technology is required; experience with blockchain technology is a plus.
  • Management/supervisory experience required.
  • Proficiency in managing and maintaining relationships between multifunctional parties across a wide array of organizations.
  • Demonstrated experience managing research projects. Both product-oriented projects, and business-oriented projects.
  • Familiarity with industry technology systems to gather data and problem solve.

Role is hybrid with at least two days each week in the office. Candidates should be able to commute to Malvern, PA at least two days per week.
