POSITION SUMMARY:

The Director of Clinic Operations provides direct and meaningful leadership to the Office Management team to ensure that productivity, efficiency and business outcomes are achieved. Is responsible for managing practice resources and the implementation of operational plans that support the organizations vision, as defined by the Board and Executive Leadership Team (ELT). Works closely with the COO and Director of Clinical Services to continually evaluate and make necessary changes to maximize productivity through continuous processes improvement. Seeks to engage and develop the workforce, at all levels of the organization, through building positive experiences and outcomes.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Overall operational management of the organizations resources to support operating requirements through staff schedule management
  • Works with clinical office management team to foster sense of team and develop consistent adoption and adherence to policy and procedures
  • Provides leadership and management support to direct reports through both written and verbal communication and appropriate cadence
  • Establishes operating systems and processes necessary to enhance productivity across the clinical offices and service lines, in coordination with the COO and Director of Clinical Services
  • Reviews performance of the clinical office management team,
  • Supports the organizational strategic plan development and delivery of mission critical goals within their area of practice operations
  • Engages with the Human Resources department for recruitment and HR related issues for the clinical offices and management team
  • Engages with the Patient Experience Team and Clinical Services Director to develop and implement onboarding and ongoing workforce training programs
  • Supports the Management of Virginia Hearts contracted staff to Inova’s Cardiac Diagnostic Sites
  • Works closely with the Physician Liaison Leaders in each clinical office, to ensure collaborative leadership is engaged to drive employee engagement
  • Maintains appropriate and effective communications between and amongst staff, management and physicians, both in verbal and written form.
  • Reviews Patient Satisfaction Scores for the clinical offices and looks for gaps and opportunities to consistently improve operations and patient experience
  • Acts as an escalate point for patient complaints with patient experience issues, within the clinical offices.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Management of Hospital Administration; or a related discipline; or relevant and documented experience in progressive management career with the Healthcare environment OR
  • Five plus years of experience in a medical management role: ambulatory or hospital practice.
  • Demonstrated management skills with empnasis on processes and people.
  • Proven experience working in and overseeing multiple locations.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Must possess stellar written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with bothh employees and members of the Executive Leadership Team.
