Overview

The Global Healthcare Commercialization team has a simple objective: drive Mastercard revenue while empowering healthcare. We aren’t physicians, hospital administrators, pharmacists, or medical technologist but it is our passion to help the best of these succeed – and in doing so help as many people as possible live a fully included life. We do this by crafting innovative partnerships, selling our valuable service, delivering incredible customer service, and helping our customers see what is possible when you focus the power of Mastercard people, products, and brand. We are an international team and you will find our colleagues, clients, projects, and users around the globe. We partner with the Global Healthcare Strategy team alongside regional and national leadership to bring our vision to market.

Role

This is a leadership position on the Global Healthcare Commercialization team. It is global, executive-level business development and account leadership role. The person who has this role is excited about introducing Mastercard to companies and industry leaders who don’t yet know the incredible array of products and services we offer via P&E, C&I and D&S. You will focus on the largest, most impactful global healthcare companies. You will also provide direct support to Regional leadership who are growing their local healthcare businesses. This leader will:

1. Assess market opportunities, target, build sales plans, execute pitches, secure deals, and make sure your Global Top 50 customer is deeply excited about their relationship with Mastercard.
2. Manage from the C-suite down to last mile implementation teams.
3. Aggressively manage deal approval & monitoring, sales pipeline management, and sales reporting
4. Support Regional/National Leadership in healthcare Acceptance, Issuance and Services sales

The person who holds this role is likely a global BD and relationship management expert. You like thinking about “the art of the possible” – and how to commercialize it. This person believes that if you can’t measure it – and do so – it didn’t happen. Specific things we are looking for:
  • Proven ability to sell and execute - internally and externally
  • Deep understanding of Mastercard products and services with a proven ability to think innovatively about their uses.
  • Understanding of healthcare value chain, our potential to achieve scaled impact, the value of data, and Mastercard’s fundamental beliefs around privacy and data protection.
  • Excited by helping to lead a global team with experience working in a multi-national company a must; experience working in a start-up/new business environment a plus
  • Ability to work independently and to be effective in ambiguous situations often in a multi-task, matrix-managed, fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Eager to learn and ability to pick up new knowledge and skills easily
  • Strong oral and written communications skills
