Summary: The Director will lead and shepherd CCAC's Domestic Violence Support team to support survivors holistically and comprehensively, with a focus on serving mothers and children. This leader will oversee all Catholic Charities' Domestic Violence Support Programs, including outreach and education, counselling, transitional housing, and wrap around supports. The Director is responsible for ensuring trauma-informed care for all clients, cultivating community partnerships, and managing a staff of 20+ people to provide compassionate, excellent service to survivors of domestic violence. Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Children, Youth, and Families, the Director provides supervision, planning, programming, and fiscal management for the entire CCAC Domestic Violence Support Group.

Essential Functions of the position are detailed below and include any physical requirements checked below:

1. Responsible for all Domestic Violence Support Programs, including service delivery, fiscal integrity, and program outcomes (i.e., House of Good Shepherd, House of Peace, Madonna House, and Counselling and Outreach).

2. Serves as a Subject Matter Expert on domestic violence within CCAC and the wider community. Helps keep staff abreast of current trends in the fields of domestic violence and violence prevention.

3. Leads direct reports to ensure that high-quality, evidence-informed programming meets the current needs of those affected by domestic violence.

4. Builds and implements Domestic Violence Support program strategy, ensuring a cohesive and current model for supporting survivors. Identifies trends and opportunities for program development.

5. Prioritizes and practices effective team management and team development, while overseeing two campuses and traveling between Lake and Cook Counties.

6. Ensures quality and compliance of clinical program components, and ensures staff is trained and supported to provide services. Maintains program compliance with organizational regulations as well as applicable accreditation, legal, and practice standards.

7. Ensures the regular evaluation of CCAC Domestic Violence Support and uses evaluation results to inform future program delivery, partnering with CCAC performance quality improvement team to ensure continuous improvement. Maintains accurate data collection, and ensures required reports are prepared and delivered on time.

8. Handles all crisis situations and client and employee complaints with sensitivity and experience, makes independent decisions and consults with Senior Vice President of Children, Youth, and Families when necessary to resolve the matter.

9. Supports Catholic Charities communications, government grants, and advancement teams in submitting proposals and reports as needed.

10. Develops, implements, monitors, and adjusts budgets, to maintain fiscal integrity.

11. Works beyond regular business hours and on evenings and weekends as needed.

Directly Supervises: Program Director of House of Peace, Program Director for Madonna House and House of Good Shepherd, & Clinical Manager
Indirectly Supervises: All Domestic Violence Support staff (20+ staff members, including Clinical Managers, Receptionists, Family Activity Coordinators, Life Skills Coaches)

Education and Experience Requirements: Relevant Education: Preferred:
Minimum: MSW with postgraduate clinical training and supervisory/management experience, including residential management

Relevant Experience:
Preferred: 7 Years of management experience, including with domestic violence programming and clinical supports
Minimum: 5 Years in management experience in human services, including in areas related to domestic violence support

Certification/Licensure:
Preferred: N/A
Minimum: LCSW/ACSW
