YAI is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to work in our Ossining or Yorktown Heights programs. You will work closely with people with Intellectual and/or Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) and empower them to lead self-directed and fulfilling lives. Those interested in gaining hands-on experience in Mental Health and Human Services are encouraged to apply.

YAI offers both stability and flexibility:

Full-Time Opportunities Available (40 hours)

• Mon.-Fri. 7am-3pm
• FT AM Sun.-Thurs/Tues.-Sat.
• Sun.-Thurs. (Sun. 4pm-11pm, Mon. 3pm-11pm, Tues. 3pm-10pm, Wed. 1pm-11pm, Thur. 3pm-11pm)
• Tues.-Sat. (Tues. 3pm-11pm, Wed. 1pm-11pm, Thur. 3pm-11pm, Fri. 3pm-10pm, 4pm-11pm)

Part-Time Opportunities Available (16 hours)

• Sat.-Sun. 8am-4pm
• Sat.- Sun. 4pm-11pm

All job-specific knowledge, strategies, and skills are provided as paid trainings through YAI Knowledge.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Valid Driver's License.
• Experience working with people with intellectual/developmental disabilities.
• Fluent English reading, writing, speaking, minimal computer skills necessary
• Willingness to assist people in achieving their greatest level of independent functioning in the areas of personal grooming and hygiene, budgeting, communication, and socialization.
• Tuberculosis testing is required.
