LCSS is seeking enthusiastic applicants for the position of Direct Support Professional in our growing company to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their everyday lives and treat the individuals with respect and dignity while using positive approaches.

Job Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Provide the individuals with protection from abuse and neglect.
  
• Assess and address health and safety concerns of the individuals within the residences.
  
• Train individuals in emergency evacuation procedures and complete necessary documentation.
  
• Prepare nutritious meals according to regulation guidelines.
  
• Respond to unusual incidents in accordance with regulation and policies.
  
• Maintain clean and sanitary conditions in the home.
  
• Complete documentation in a timely manner and correctly as directed.
  
• Maintain correct staff to individual ratios per ISP.
  
• Follow protocols for medication administration.
  
• Attend all required training and company meetings.
  
• Follow the ISP and/or BSP and recommend changes as needed.
  
• Assist with ADL's (Activities of Daily Living).
  
• Maintain outside areas and keep them free of debris and snow/ice.
  
• Provide safe transportation to the individuals as needed with a valid driver's license.
  
• Communicate with all team members in a professional manner to maintain the best care for individuals.
  
• Dress according to the LCSS dress code.
  
• Conduct other similar job assignments as necessary or assigned.
  
• Keep all information concerning the company and the individuals confidential.
  
• Advocate and be a support person for the individuals we serve. Encourage the individuals to be as independent as possible and encourage their personal rights.
  
• Perform all job duties in compliance with the company's regulations and with a positive attitude, cooperate with other staff and non agency personnel, and maintain a professional work environment.

Requirements:

• Must be 18 years or older
  
• High school diploma or equivalent (encouraged but not required)
  
• Valid PA drivers license
  
• Valid Personal vehicle
  
• Must be able to pass a background check
  
• Must be able to pass a physical and tb test
