Do you want to make the difference in the life of an individual with special needs? Are you flexible to work in home and in a day program setting with an individual? If you answered yes to these questions, then this could be the position for you.

The individual is a 28-year-old young man who is caring, loving and energetic. He likes to be active and to be around other people. He is very cooperative and happy. He has been diagnosed with Down syndrome, Autism, he is non-verbal, GERD, incontinence and self-injurious behaviors.

He loves music, Barney, playing games, going on car rides and going to church with his mother.

He is fully ambulatory but he does require complete supervision at all times to ensure his safety. He does have behavior issues at times which requires him to have constant supervision as well.

This position requires you to assist him getting ready io the morning, escorting him on the bus, and attending day program with him. You will also return from day program with him and attend to him until his mother arrives from work. On the weekend you will need to attend to him the entire shift and help him participate in community activities of his choosing.

The hours that are available are:

Monday and Tuesday 6:30 am to 6:30 pm

Saturday and Sunday 6:30 am to 6:30 pm

The pay rate is $25.00 - $25.82

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $25.00 - $25.82 per hour

Schedule:

• 12 hour shift
• Day shift
• Evening shift
• Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Yeadon, PA: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Caregiving: 1 year (Preferred)
