Springmoor Life Care Retirement Community is one of the Triads Leading Retirement Care Facilities in the Raleigh, NC area. Our teams are staffed with personable, responsive professionals in their field who take pride in creating an environment that supports a healthy, happy, active lifestyle.

We’re currently hiring qualified and energetic Dining Supervisor to join our team of talented caregivers. This individual will Supervision of meals to ensure resident service and satisfaction; training of employees; ensure employees conform to standards of the Food Service Department (i.e. uniforms, time and leave, service, sanitation and safety)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Plan schedule so that all meal times are covered.
  • Assure adequate coverage in all areas at meal time. Make assignments
  • Oversee line setup and assure that all items needed are available.
  • Oversee food service employees, and fill in as needed for absent employees.
  • Check holding temperatures of foods at each mealtime to assure they are within federal safety ranges.
  • Communicate guest numbers to production staff that affect amounts of food needed.
  • Inspect units for safety and sanitation.
  • Actively participate in maintaining food quality standards and records.
  • Counsel, discipline and reprimand employees.
  • Perform other related duties as needed.


NON-ESSENTIAL

  • Communicate closely with unit manager regarding resident needs.
  • Monitor portion control.
  • Assist in orientation, on-job training, interviews, and in-service education programs.
  • Attend all in-service programs and staff meetings.
  • Responsible for reading, understanding and following Springmoor Inclement Weather, Fire Evacuation, and Safety plans.
  • Participate in personnel evaluations

Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years food service experience and 1year supervisory experience (may be promoted from within).

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.

Must be self-motivated and flexible.

Must be prepared to work in a fast-paced environment and perform moderate physical labor, such as lifting up to 25 lbs.

Patience and understanding are required when dealing with residents and employees.

Must present professional appearance and attitude.

Must be able to read, speak and write English.
