The Job:
As a DEI Specialist, you will be a part of our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion team, working remotely, across business segments and regions, leading the development of workforce diversity, equity and inclusion engagement models that invites and integrates employees into an ongoing strategy to develop a global culture of inclusion unlocks human potential and uncovers the key drivers of a workplace culture in which all employees can advance and thrive. You'll get to:
  • Scale and enhance the existing program to account for the expansion of more ERGs, employee, and regional member population growth
  • Ideate, plan, champion, and drive critical programming
  • Support daily activities of ERGs
  • Develop and maintain relationships with multiple key stakeholders to gain support for ERG initiatives
  • Create and monitor the annual development curriculum for ERG leaders
  • Manage and enhance ERG membership data, performance scorecard, and provide other metrics as needed to provide relevant data, analysis, and recommendations
  • Act as a project manager for other assigned projects that support Stanley Black & Decker's DE&I goals and objectives
  • Some travel may be expected
The Person:

  • 2+ years of experience with demonstrated business results working with employee networks and diversity councils.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, with experience leveraging project and program management techniques to handle complex projects and initiatives from concept creation through activation.
  • Ability to adapt in a complex, matrixed, global environment
  • Ability to clearly articulate and reinforce diversity, equity and inclusion strategy and the business case.
  • Ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • High level of computer literacy, particularly Microsoft Suite, with preferably highly proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Teams.
  • Ability to collect, analyze and share data via various mediums including Excel, PowerPoint, and summarized talking points.
  • Skillset to navigate conflict situations and effectively balance diverse stakeholder perspectives and expectations.
  • Appetite to research best practices, both internally and externally, and present new ideas to the team
  • Ability to work well under pressure, with proven time management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment and organize complex
  • Self-motivation, striving for excellence and continuous improvement using analytical problem-solving skills.
