T-Rex is seeking a Data Engineer to support adoption of technologies at military treatment facilities and installations around the world. The candidate will work closely with senior T-Rex Technical Leads, a team of training and communications specialist, DHMS leaders/staff and DHMS vendors to plan and execute the rollout of training and adoption activities.

The PEO Defense Healthcare Management System (DHMS) is transforming the delivery of health care and advance data sharing through a modernized electronic health record for service members, veterans and their families. The Workforce 3.0 program within DHMS is a managed solution that leverages innovative new processes, methods, and best-in-class methodologies from the private sector to enable the entire PEO DHMS workforce to deliver world-class technology. The DHMS systems provide important health IT capabilities to 9.6 million active military, their families, and their beneficiaries. Responsibilities:

  • Develop performance metrics and reporting requirements, as well as business and technical requirements for the solutions and customers we support. The authoritative source of truth for all MHS GENESIS metrics and reports stemming from system deployment and incident data. Data Reporting and Metrics offer customers a wide range of data management activities, methods, procedures, and governance required to support our customers to deliver patient-centered healthcare modern solutions. Primary focus is on actualizing data as a corporate asset by transitioning from disparate, duplicate, and non-standardized data to mature and efficient data capabilities. We deliver solutions using many diverse reporting tools.
  • Provides subject matter expertise on data reporting, data science, and data transformation in relation to business issues; joint VA, DOD, and Coast Guard execution and deployment; communications; and visualization capabilities. These services are inextricably linked to the successful delivery of PEO DHMS products.
    • Provide guidance and strategic oversight to ensure that data is being leveraged appropriately across the enterprise
    • Develop and maintain O&S Request Intake Form processes and ownership, as well as receive and execute customer requests for data through this process:
      • Creation of Intake Request Form process
      • Maintenance of Intake Request Form process
      • Prioritize and Approve/Deny data requests
      • Execute on approved requests with data delivery
    • Develop and maintain data reports including (but not limited to):
      • DHMSM All-Hands Slides reporting for MHS Genesis tickets
      • Aged Tickets data reports for high-level PEO DHMS support
      • MHSSHD Dashboards
      • RevX Automated Data Reporting
      • Any data request received and approved through the Intake Request Form process

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of professional experience, preferably as a Data Visualization, Data Analyst, Data Scientist or other relevant role
  • Experience designing, developing, managing, and executing dashboards and data visualization for technology in concert with complex set of stakeholders and according to customer requirements
  • Experience developing, tracking, and reporting customer success metrics
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a larger team
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Desired Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or another similar discipline
  • Medical billing knowledge
  • Lean Six Sigma or process improvement

In compliance with pay transparency guidelines, the annual base salary range for this position is $95,000 - $130,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. T-Rex considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
