SUMMARY: The Customer Support Specialist will provide a high level of customer service support by interacting with the company’s customers, employees, and vendors by addressing inquiries and resolving complaints. They will also be assigned 3-4 key accounts to become the operational/logistical expert to effectively communicate retailer needs/expectations to inter & intradepartmental personnel.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop a thorough understanding of company products and knowledge of order processes.
  • Address and resolve customer inquiries, problems and complaints, letters, correspondences, etc. as needed.
  • Answer incoming calls and emails in a timely manner.
  • Provide accurate and timely information regarding the new orders and the status of open orders.
  • Enter orders for replacement products as needed.
  • Log all customer inquiries including product registration.
  • Communicate efficiently and professionally, in written and verbal form with a personable and service-oriented demeanor.
  • Provide logistical/operational support for 3-4 key accounts (Meijer, HD, Walgreens, PetSmart)
  • Partner with sales and internal departments to ensure meeting and exceeding customer expectations.
  • Cross train with Sr. Customer Support Specialist to handle key accounts during vacation schedule.
  • Enter sample request orders and during vacation schedule assist with shipping sample orders to Account Managers or Retailers.
  • Reserve/allocate inventory quantities on low inventoried items to minimize lost sales and/or out of stock issues.
  • Review inventory levels and work with sales to provide ample time on potential out of stock issues.
  • Use computer software such as spreadsheets, databases, word processing, email, internet, etc.
  • Assist with annual Year End physical inventory.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree (BA) in related field
  • 3-5 years of Customer Support or similar Customer Service role
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent listening skills
  • Strong organizational, planning and time management skills.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Ability to work in a team.
  • Proficient in computer hardware and software.
  • Consumer products industry experience a plus.
  • ERP operating system experience a plus.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Occasionally required to stand.
  • Frequently required to walk.
  • Continually required to sit.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $47,500.00 per year
