Job description

The purpose of this position is to provide unparalleled customer service for the current, past, and future pet owner’s who choose White’s Pet Hospital as the hospital they trust to care for their pets. A person in this positon will provide the same customer service to non-pet owners who call upon the hospital for any reason. The ideal person in the position will have absolute compassion for animals and their people and will be able to maintain a compassionate and even tempered approach to customer service at all times. The following list is a basic outline of the responsibilities for an individual in this position:

· Greeting clients as soon as they enter the hospital

· Maintaining a more than basic understanding of hospital procedures, policies, preventative medications, vaccine schedules

· Maintaining a basic understanding of common diseases, medications, veterinary diets, and testing procedures.

· Answering phones and assisting all callers, often providing guidance to those pet owners who do not understand the complexities of veterinary medicine.

· Scheduling for all doctors and all services provided by the hospital or providing necessary resources to pet owners for their scheduling needs.

· Filling medications as prescribed by a veterinarian

· Maintaining a clean work environment including but not limited to:

o The lobby

o The reception area

o Exam rooms

o Lobby bathroom

o Entrance and exit of hospital

o Hallways

o Weighing room

· Adjusting doctors schedules as necessary

· Documenting client conversations as appropriate

· Maintaining fax and email communications

· Additional duties as assigned

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
