Essential Functions:

- Perform boundary survey, Alta surveys, stakeouts.
- Perform computation and QA/QC checks on work performed by others.
- Create plats of survey, plats of Highway, plats of easements, and other required documentation.
- Direct or conduct surveys to establish legal boundaries for properties, based on legal deeds and titles.
- Responsible for attaining equipment calibration on a yearly basis or as needed in the interim.
- Provide expert technical advice on all aspects of area of expertise to other managers and staff to ensure effective decision making, including advice and support to other departments.
- Train assistants and helpers and direct their work in such activities as performing surveys or drafting maps; Ensure survey activities comply with company and contract requirements and support overall project schedule.
Job Requirements
Additional Eligibility Requirements:
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Understand and able to use CAD software.
- Proficiency with operation of total robotic stations, data collectors, and GPS systems.
- Knowledge of local government agency standards, specifically IDOT and Illinois Tollway.
- Ability to use scanners and/or drones a plus.
- Ability to post processing scan data, creating drawings from drone images a plus.

Our main office is located near the intersection of Wacker and Randolph in the Chicago Loop. We are within blocks of various CTA stations, Union Station, and Ogilvie Transportation Center.
